My personal mission is to make God’s love real by compassionately serving others and developing ministry endeavors. My pastoral call is to develop the ministries of a local church so that it may achieve its potential for the Kingdom of God. I am a planner and an organizer. Within the context of the local church, I love to develop new ministries and enhance the effectiveness of existing ministries.

I graduated from Seminary in 1984. Prior to seminary I served for three years as an area director for Young Life. During my 30 years of ordained ministry, I served three churches. I have had hands on ministry responsibility for all aspects of the life of a local church, children/youth, mission/outreach, pastoral care/congregational life, adult discipleship and contemporary/emerging worship. Twice I served in the role of interim pastor gaining valuable hands on leadership experience with worship, finance, and stewardship.

I believe in the local church. When the local church is working well, it is a thing of beauty. It is a place where spirits are refreshed, souls are made new and God’s love is made real.  I believe the church is much more than Sunday morning worship. Worship is the centerpiece of our life together. But the church must make God’s love real. It must be a community of faith in which all members are known, valued and loved. The church must be a community of faith which gives witness to the transforming love of Jesus Christ by compassionately serving others in our community, region and world.  My passion is to assist a local church achieve its potential by developing new ministries and enhancing existing ministries.

This website is a compilation of 30 years of ministry experience. It reflects my beliefs regarding    the ministries of a local church; what the church should do and be. I pray that my experience and   convictions will resonate with you.
